Meet the Mapmaker

I AM HERE Cards is the work of Gregory Mitchell, a cartographer and artist who has called Fayetteville, Arkansas home for decades.

Greg began his cartography career when maps were still drawn with Rapidograph pens and patterns were cut by hand with X-Acto knives. Although mapmaking eventually moved largely onto computers, he never lost his love for the hands-on craft of drawing.

That eventually brought him back to pen and ink—and to creating the hand-drawn maps behind I AM HERE Cards.

His work combines decades of cartographic experience with the character and human touch of something drawn by hand.
