Wet-it! founder Mathilda Davies grew up using sponge cloths in Sweden and was surprised to discover they weren't an everyday household staple when she came to the United States. In 2009, she and her husband set out to change that.

Wet-it! began in 2009 when founder Mathilda Davies realized that the absorbent sponge cloths she had grown up using in Sweden weren't nearly as common in American homes.

With a business degree and a product she already knew and loved, Mathilda and her husband began introducing Swedish-style sponge cloths to the U.S. market.

Quality has remained central to the company as it has grown. Wet-it!'s in-house designs are printed using water-based inks, and the cloth itself is 100% decomposable.
